Have you ever felt that you needed to change yourself for someone? Or maybe someone else said that you should or need to do something to fix or change yourself? But why does someone else’s opinion matter more than your own? Isn’t this your body and your life? Don’t idealise stuff on the internet, make sure you feel good with whatever you do to yourself.
I felt the need to remind everyone that if you don’t like some aspects of you and that you want to make it better, it should solely be your opinion. No one should and could come to you and say “I don’t like the way you walk, talk or act”. Don’t get me wrong, you can consider their opinions, but not to the point that you change yourself to fit their standard. It’s absolutely alright that you don’t please everyone because you weren’t meant to do that. There is no need for you to conform to what others prefer because then you’ll lose your authenticity and won’t be your unique self.
“Don’t be trapped in someone else’s dream.” - Kim Taehyung from BTS
Don’t EVER change yourself for someone. Do it for you. Another thing to note is that during your journey of becoming the best version of yourself, you are the most important. If there are friends or family that aren’t supportive of you, keep away from them and cut them out because your mental health matters more. People like that come and go in your life, so don’t worry about it too much. They leave because they can’t get you to change for them but in the future, someone will accept you for you ;)
this was so inspirational, thank you!!
