Sometimes, fear can stop us from doing what we want to do and achieving the goals that we’ve set for ourselves. It’s really difficult to carry out a task when we have this fear in us. Personally, I completely relate to this. I am scared to do something because of my fear of failure. It’s not easy to step over this fear. Not only fear, but things like anxiety, stress, etc. can also arise in these situations.
As a person who is afraid of failure and is still trying to take that leap of faith, I’d like to share something that I’ve learnt. There’s so many things I want to do, but fear is stopping me. This fear might exist before you start doing the task, at the beginning or even at the end of it. Even if you get over one fear, there will always be another one waiting for you on the other side. It may feel like you’re trapped but I’d like to remind you that to some extent fear will always exist and that's okay. Sometimes, you just need to take that leap of faith to do what makes you happy even though you’re afraid. Ironic right? Trust me when I say that you can take baby steps to do this. Having someone beside you who compliments these baby steps is also important because then you have encouragement. This way, you’ll learn that you should conquer and control your fear, not the other way round. Make sure to not underestimate yourself and give it a try. ♥
